Edelman Brussels drives the communications strategy for BSA|The Software Alliance in Europe, with the goal to position BSA as the voice of the data economy & the software industry, build the profiles of BSA’s CEO & senior executives as thought leaders and valuable commentators, and highlight the software industry’s role in boosting innovation in Europe.
The team helped develop a communications programme to ensure that BSA’s voice is heard in the European digital policy debate and to help BSA navigate the ever-changing media landscape. The programme includes targeted media relations across Europe: regular meetings with journalists; media events and outreach to launch BSA studies; rapid reaction to relevant policy developments; and writing & placing of opinion pieces. All activity is amplified via social media and through other BSA platforms.
Over the past years, the team has successfully supported BSA to become a go-to source on issues such as data, privacy and cybersecurity, and foster strong relationships with Brussels-based media and other key influencers.
