The German government is assuming the Presidency of the EU at a time when health policy is extremely high in the European political agenda. The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the need for a European coordinated approach on health and the German Presidency intends to draw conclusions from the crisis and lay the groundwork to improve the EU’s health sovereignty. Digitalization and the use of data in health, negotiations on the EU4Health Programme, Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, and the upcoming Pharmaceutical Strategy for Europe, will also feature among Germany’s priorities in health. Additionally, we provide a visual overview of the main health-related meetings and events.
